34th street and 7th avenue, better known as 34th street-Penn Station, is an express station on the IRT 7th avenue line. As its real name suggests, the station has a convienent underground entrance to the station itself, as well as the station of the same name.

Station layout[]

Like its sister station, the station has two side platforms for the local trains, and one offset island platform for the express trains. Next north: Times Square Next south: Local-28th street (7th avenue) Express-14th street-6th avenue

Arts for transit[]

The station has two different works, both of which by Elizabeth Grajales. When the animals speak consist of two ceramic mosaic murals with relief borders, on both ends of the express platform. A Bird's Life consists of ceramic plaques of birds at different moments. Sets of four of these plaques are spread throughout the local platforms.
